T H E P R I S M A T I C C I T Y
The Prismatic City: A Synopsis*
1. Blodso, Othmere, and Liehjems reside in the Prismatic City.Blodso, standing to the left, is a business man of some importance.Othmere, the second from the left, is his chauffeur and Liehjems(“Leigioms”) is his secretary. They have worked together for severalyears.
2. The Prismatic City is at war and has been so for 18 months.Casualties have been heavy and all three of our persona have beenunexpectedly drafted into the army of Ossa. Ossa is skeleton man,first centurion of the Prismatic Armies. He loves the war and hopes it lasts forever.
3. Our three draftees depart for the front. Blodso, uncharacteristically,decides to drive. Othmere and Liehjems sit together in back. Over the years working for Blodso, this man and woman have become close friends. The hooded figure in the foreground is flying a kite that is held by only one strand of the kite cord. The Prismatic City is powered by the wind. The kite pays homage to the gods of the wind. As long as the cord holds, both the man and the kite must dance to the wind. The skeleton figure is not Ossa, but represents the soul and the inner support of all the people of the Prismatic City. Many people of the cityhave come to look like skeletons over time or have come to wear skeleton masks.
4. Several miles outside the city our three draftees take a rest stop. Othmere looks back with longing even though they have only just begun. Liehjems begins to suffer from morning sickness as she is,unknown to her companions, pregnant.
5. The jolting half-track car of Blodso, who is still driving, enters the first zone of the war field. By passing through the jaws of the skeleton,they enter the point of no return—they become embedded in the war,the NoMonLand. Othmere holds in his hand the last fragment of his Prismatic Memory.
6. The three enter the trenches where Blodso is put in charge of the recon section. Othmere cooks a meal while Blodso and Liehjems adjust the periscope that sees into the enemy lines. It is a rare but welcome moment of light-heartedness. It will not last.
7. The front has collapsed. The armies of the Prismatic are in retrograde and order and discipline have broken down. Liehjems, Othmere and Blodso have stood together. In this chaos Othmere feels that he must protect both Liehmems and Blodso. He has already been wounded and in just a few minutes he will be shot again.
8. They find a protected spot and Blodso realizes that Othmere’s leg must go in order to save his life. Blodso removes his sunshades. For the first time we see his eyes. He has removed these tinted glasses in order to see what he must do. From the little box he has always carried, he takes out a surgical saw.Ossa reappears in this fallen camp and offers advice to all three of our heroes.
9. Othmere’s sacrifice has been completed. The feral dogs of war judge the three’s courage and prepare to pick clean the field of battle. Our persona have passed through the skeleton’s mouth and now they exit via the birth canal.They have found a separate peace.
10. After this “night sea crossing” they have returned to the comforts of thePrismatic City. A celebration is going on. Blodso, Othmere and Liehjems have been decorated. They are now veterans and the ordeal has passed. Withinseveral days Liehjems will give birth. Ossa is no where in sight, but he is somewhere for outside the Prismatic City, the war still rages. The skeletonserving the drinks is the same as in image #3. Those who hold the key to the past and to the future dance a jig.

Liehjems = organization, intuition, creativity She is Hera, wife and sister of Zeus. She is Mary, Mother of God, spouse of the Holy Spirit.
Ossa, the skeleton man = Mars He is the Fisher King.
Prismatic City = A prism has three like sides that parallel and thereforeNever touch. They separate the colors of light.
The Dance = Union of space and time, the fixed spiritual vortex
